A 12-year-old scooter rider and a 66-year-old cyclist encountered a serious incident near Hasselroth-Neuenhaßlau (Main-Kinzig district). According to police reports from last night, the boy was riding his e-scooter off the dirt path onto the bike path and didn't see the approaching cyclist in time. They ended up colliding forcefully.
Regardless of wearing a helmet, the elderly cyclist sustained severe facial wounds and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Due to severe respiratory issues and head injuries, the young e-scooter rider required a helicopter to get to the hospital. This unfortunate incident happened during the afternoon on Sunday. The estimated damages to property are approximately 600 euros, as reported earlier by Hessenschau.
