A 45-year-old driver, under the influence and sporting a whopping 2.14% alcohol level, crashed into a cop car in Oldenburg, Germany, according to a police statement on Monday. The chase started when the patrol crew spotted the tipsy driver's vehicle during the wee hours of Sunday night.

The officers chased the intoxicated motorist, who eventually stopped with his hazard lights blinking. When the police car finally came to a halt, the 45-year-old driver, in a fit of stupidity, reversed into it. He then drove on for a good distance before halting again.

Additional officers came to detain the drunk driver, who initially put up a fight. The struggle resulted in the man getting taken down to the ground. He sustained minor injuries, which were dressed at the hospital. A blood test confirmed his alcohol level at a staggering 2.14%.
