Post the lethal stabbings in Solingen, leading to three deaths, the suspect was shifted by car to Solingen, subsequently air lifted via helicopter to Karlsruhe. He is set to face an interrogating judge at the Higher Regional Court (BGH) in Karlsruhe.

The Federal Public Prosecutor has assumed charge of the case and is probing a 26-year-old Syrian on charges of homicide and alleged involvement in the extremist group, Islamic State (IS). The accused is believed to have orchestrated a stabbing spree in Solingen on Friday night.
