A motorist got caught cruising at an unacceptable 193 km/h through the Hamburg Elbtunnel by the law enforcement. The authorities spotted the swanky sports car close to entering the tunnel on a Thursday evening, as per the police report.

The 37-year-old driver revved up to surpassing twice the authorized speed limit of 80 km/h within the tunnel. A police squad halted the vehicle not far from the Othmarschen exit. A breathalyzer examination showed a 0.41% alcohol content in the driver's blood. In light of his dangerous driving behavior, the authorities started a criminal probe for suspected drunken driving charges.

The individual is also under suspicion for engaging in an illicit street race. The luxury car was confiscated as proof right at the spot. The speedster stands to incur a hefty fine, a prolonged driving suspension, and the court-ordered forfeiture of their vehicle.

The police squad apprehended the speedster near the Othmarschen exit due to his excessive speed. Furthermore, the police will investigate potential street racing charges alongside the drunken driving offense.
