- Individual found guilty of committing sexual offenses against minors

The Local Court has handed down a sentence of two years and six months in prison to a 63-year-old individual from Röbel (Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district) due to several instances of child exploitation. The court found two instances of child sexual abuse to be valid, with one instance involving deliberate physical harm. Apart from this, the man was found guilty of unlawful confinement in conjunction with deliberate physical harm, and of sexually harassing two individuals, one of whom he attempted to coerce into sexual activity. The court cleared him of charges in other cases.

As per the accusations, the man was tasked with looking after a boy, then nine years old, with the mother's consent, multiple times between August 2022 and this year's February. The prosecution alleged that the man engaged in sexual activities and harassment in eighteen instances, some of which had other children of the same age present. This included threats aimed at sexual activities, showing explicit videos, physical beatings, and also violence in the sensitive area. According to the prosecution, the man is also accused of locking the boy within his apartment.

The man's crimes extended beyond child exploitation, as he was also charged with unlawful confinement and sexually harassing two individuals. The severe nature of his actions led to several instances of child sexual abuse and deliberate physical harm.
