Individual detained at Cologne/Bonn Airport suspected of sending funds to ISPK.

The prosecutor's office has accused an individual of backing a foreign terrorist group and contravening the Foreign Trade Act. This person is alleged to be a threat to Germany's Islamic sector, according to Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD). She emphasized that Germany is committed to ensuring a secure European Football Championship.

There have been rumors in the media about this suspect applying for a job as a security guard at the European Football Championship, but the Federal Prosecutor's Office has chosen not to comment on the matter. Faeser plans to open the International Police Cooperation Center IPCC with North Rhine-Westphalia's Interior Minister Herbert Reul (CDU) on Monday in Neuss. Through this center, all national and international information will be gathered and distributed. Additionally, since Friday, Germany has implemented preliminary border controls at all land and air borders.
