- Increasing number of income millionaires in Schleswig-Holstein

For the seventh consecutive year, the number of millionaires residing in Schleswig-Holstein has increased. According to Statistics North, a total of 1,012 taxable individuals or couples earned at least one million euros in 2020, marking an increase of 89 from the previous year.

The total income of these taxable individuals rose by 12.7% year-over-year to 2.6 billion euros. Their average income was 2.5 million euros, an increase of 69,000 euros from 2019. The highest concentration of millionaires was in the North Friesland district, which includes Sylt, with a statistical 13.8 per 10,000 residents.

The Statistical Office for Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein released the latest wealth data, which shows the continued growth in millionaire population. In Schleswig-Holstein specifically, the Statistical Office reported a rise in millionaires for the seventh consecutive year.
