- Increased police presence after suspected robbery

After an alleged robbery of a man at a post office in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, police are searching for a suspect with a larger contingent. A 46-year-old man called the emergency number and reported that he had been threatened with a knife by an unknown person in Grainau, the police said. The suspect is said to have made off with a four-digit sum in cash and fled by bicycle.

According to a spokeswoman, police were searching for the suspect later in the morning based on a description, with a larger contingent and a helicopter in use.

The alleged robbery at the post office has elevated the crime rate in the district. Despite the description provided, the culprit responsible for the threatening incident with a knife and the subsequent robbery remains at large.
