Upcoming elections in Europe - Increased demand for mail-in ballots.

In the recent European election, more residents of Berlin were able to vote by mail than in previous years. The state election commission revealed that 730,361 eligible voters (29.4%) had submitted the necessary documents by Thursday, which marks a 9.2% increase from 2019 when 505,663 eligible voters (20.2%) had done so three days prior to the election.

The use of postal voting has been growing in popularity for some time now. It's uncertain if every individual who requested a postal voting paper and submitted it actually filled it out and sent it back.

If you still need to request a postal voting paper, you can do so before Friday at 6:00 pm. These completed ballots must be delivered to the responsible district election office by 6:00 pm on election day. Due to the time constraints for postal mail, voters can also submit their ballots personally at the postal voting stations or at the designated post boxes there.

Those who prefer to cast their vote in person on the final day can also visit the designated postal voting stations. Each district is required to have at least one postal voting station remain open until Friday at 6:00 pm, according to the state election commission.
