- "Incitement to Hate" - Five men in court
Dozen Songs with Calls for Violence against Foreigners and Nazi Ideology Allegedly Produced and Distributed by a Group of Men Aged 34 to 54
The Celle public prosecutor stated at the start of the trial at the Lüneburg Regional Court that the audio recordings incite hatred. Adolf Hitler is glorified in them, arson attacks on asylum seeker accommodations are approved of, and the Jewish population is incited against.
A 34-year-old from Bardowick near Lüneburg is said to have been the ringleader and has been in custody since October 2023. Since 2018, he is said to have spread Nazi, anti-Semitic slogans and racist ideology together with the accused from Berlin, Hamburg, the districts of Herzogtum-Lauenburg in Schleswig-Holstein and Biberach in Baden-Württemberg.
The group is said to have sold more than 28,000 audio recordings and generated an estimated 285,000 euros. The accused are charged with forming or being a member of a criminal organization. In addition, there are suspicions of incitement of the people in up to 48 cases, as well as the use of unconstitutional organization symbols and depiction of violence.
The album covers often show banned Nazi symbols such as the double Sig-Rune as the SS's symbol, the stylized death's head symbol of the SS, and slogans of the SA, NSDAP, and Hitler Youth, as listed by the public prosecutor. After reading the approximately 70-page indictment at the start, the trial will continue on August 14.
The extreme views expressed in these audio recordings include the glorification of Nazi ideology and the incitement of hatred against certain populations, such as the Jewish population. The group's actions, including the production and distribution of these extremist materials, have resulted in multiple charges against its members.
