Recipe for a speedy Gnocchi skillet with cheese, ground meat, and leek

Ingredients for four servings

  • 1 leek
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 onion
  • 1 bunch of fresh basil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 600g fresh Gnocchi
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 splash of soy sauce
  • 120ml vegetable broth
  • Salt, pepper
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 200g fresh cheese
  • 100g cheddar

Instructions

  1. Clean the leek and chop it into rounds. Peel and finely mince the garlic and onion. Wash, dry, and finely chop the basil.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet. Add the Gnocchi and sauté until golden. Remove from the skillet.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet. Sauté the garlic and onions briefly. Add the ground beef and cook until crumbled.
  4. Add the leek. Deglaze with a splash of soy sauce and vegetable broth. Season with salt, pepper, chili and paprika powder, and basil. Stir in the fresh cheese.
  5. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes with the lid closed.
  6. Then add the pre-cooked Gnocchi. Let it cook for another 3 minutes. Stir in the cheese.
  7. Divide onto plates, garnish with fresh basil, and serve.
