- In the initiation of the 39th Germany Tour, Milan emerges victorious.

Experienced rider Jonathan Milan claimed victory in the initial stage of the 39th Deutschland Tour. Taking on the 2.9km prologue in Schweinfurt, Bavaria, Milan posted the quickest time, edging out Danish ex-World Champion Mads Pedersen and Dutch cyclist Maikel Zijlaard. In the individual time trial, Germany's Jannik Steimle finished seventh best.

Basking in his success, Milan took home the brand-new blue leader's jersey. Back in May, he showcased his impressive speed by snagging three stage wins at the Giro d'Italia.

A total of 120 athletes kicked off the race. The tour's grand finale is scheduled for Sunday in Saarbrücken, spanning a distance of 747.6km. Riders will face a traditional-style challenge on Saturday's third stage, traversing the course between Schwäbisch Gmünd and Villingen-Schwenningen.

Jonathan's victory in the Deutschland Tour has put Germany in the spotlight of the cycling world. Jannik Steimle, another talented German cyclist, showed strong performance in the individual time trial.
