In the European elections in Saarland, the CDU emerges as the top party. Other political parties suffer losses at the district level, except for one.

Saarland's municipal elections delivered a win for the CDU at the district level. After the votes were tallied, the Christian Democrats secured 34.4% of the total votes on Sunday, marking a 0.4 percentage point rise from the previous election. They emerged as the strongest party in five out of the six districts in Saarland, including the Saarbrücken Regional Association. The SPD experienced a slight dip (-0.1 percentage points), finishing with 29.9% of the votes, while they gained the most support in the Neunkirchen district from all parties. The AfD (10.4%) just barely edged out the Greens (7.3%), with the Left party at a 4.1% share of the total votes.

Around 800,000 people across Saarland cast their ballots for their communal representatives. The voter turnout was 65.0% (a 1.4 percentage point increase).
