At the initiation of the annual Berlin athletics event ISTAF, discus thrower Kristin Pudenz from Potsdam clinched a triumph, being hosted at her hometown. The 2021 Olympic silver medalist recorded a winning throw of 64.14 meters, surpassing Marike Steinacker, who had initially led with 63.24 meters.

Ranking third was the Swedish athlete and Olympic fifth-placer, Vanessa Kamga, who managed 63.14 meters, marginally beating Jorinde van Klinken, the vice-European champion of the Netherlands, with a final toss of 62.46 meters.

The existing meeting record is currently held by American Olympic champion Valarie Allman, who has achieved a remarkable throw of 71.16 meters. At her final showdown in the Olympic Stadium, former vice-European champion Julia Harting ranked seventh with a throw of 58.69 meters.

The Berlin athletics event ISTAF, known for showcasing top talent, features various disciplines, including Athletics. Among the participants, Kristin Pudenz, a discus thrower from Potsdam, excelled in her hometown's event, setting a strong precedent for future Athletics events.
