Munich 1860 demonstrated some resilience in the 3rd tier of German football. The "Cats" secured their initial victory of the season, triumphing 2:1 (1:0) over FC Ingolstadt, following three consecutive defeats. This triumph provided some relief for coach Argirios Giannikis.

Maximilian Wolfram opened the scoring for Munich in the vibrant Bavarian derby, notching a goal in the 5th minute. Post-half-time, Julian Guttau (64.) capitalized on Ingolstadt's defensive woes, further expanding the lead. Pascal Testroet (86.) managed to convert a penalty for Ingolstadt, but it was too little, too late. Munich celebrated their first triumph in four matches, while Ingolstadt endured their second loss.
