- In Saxony-Anhalt, the costs of purchasing a Christmas tree remain constant.

Around four months prior to Christmas, Christmas tree vendors in Saxony-Anhalt predict stable rates. According to Hardi Busche, a Christmas tree supplier operating in the Harz and Altmark areas, "This year's Christmas tree prices are expected to be roughly the same as last year's." His company, Harzer Tanne, which boasts the title of largest Christmas tree producer in Saxony-Anhalt, sells thousands of trees annually.

The state forestry operation shares a similar expectation. "Prices at the state forestry operation for Christmas trees remain steady, hovering around 10 to 15 euros per running meter," a spokesperson noted. The general health of the Christmas trees has seen an improvement due to the rainy months, a trend observed in most forest trees. However, the recent heat waves could potentially pose a threat to the trees.

Bernd Jenrich, a Christmas tree producer from the Börde region, has promised his clients that prices will remain unchanged. With a significant time investment involved, he has opted for flat pricing. "Each tree costs 25 euros," Jenrich confirms. Customers visit the three-hectare plantation, select a tree, and cut it down themselves. He sells hundreds of trees annually.

As for other Christmas tree suppliers like Christbaumland Pülzig or a producer in the Salzatal region, a price prediction is premature at this stage.

Other Christmas tree suppliers, such as Christbaumland Pülzig and those in the Salzatal region, are yet to provide specific price predictions due to ongoing assessments of the tree growth and market conditions. Despite the delay, these suppliers are committed to providing high-quality trees for the upcoming holiday season.
