Second-division team 1. FC Kaiserslautern scored their second victory of the campaign thanks to a late goal by Ragnar Ache. Facing Preußen Münster away, the Red Devils secured a 1-0 (1-0) victory, dealing Preußen Münster their second loss of the season. Ache headed home from a corner in the 86th minute in front of 12,422 spectators at the packed Preußenstadion, turning what appeared to be a scoreless draw into a win.

The two sides struggled in the oppressive heat from the get-go, scarcely retaining possession and creating few opportunities. Jannik Mause of Kaiserslautern missed in the first half, as did Marc Lorenz of Preußen Münster.

Kaiserslautern continues to fight

In the second half, the home team stepped up their efforts. Joel Grodowski's shot from 18 yards was saved by FCK goalkeeper Julian Krahl. Krahl also managed to stop a free kick from Lorenz. Meanwhile, Jannis Heuer cleared the ball off the line in the nick of time to prevent Etienne Amenyido from scoring. Kaiserslautern rarely threatened in attack, with Mause being the only danger in Preußen Münster's penalty area. Ache's goal came as a surprise.

Münster is still yearning for their first win after returning to the second division. Simultaneously, 1. FC Kaiserslautern remains undefeated in their third match of the season and sits atop the table with seven points in the top echelon.

Kaiserslautern's Second Bundesliga campaign continues to show promise, as they Nicely build on their second victory in the league. Despite Münster's return to the Second Bundesliga, they are yet to secure their first win, continuing their struggle in the division.
