Open tournament held in Europe - In golf, Jannik de Bruyn drops to the runner-up position.
In the European Open at the Winsen venue on the Luhe River, German golfer Jannik de Bruyn lost the lead after scoring a par round at the $2.5 million DP World Tour event. Now, he's in second place with 137 shots. Laurie Canter, a golfer from England, took over the top spot by shooting a 66 at the Par-73 course at the Green Eagle complex near Hamburg. He's got 12 strokes under par and 134 strokes in total.
Just like yesterday, the play was halted for three hours due to heavy downpours. The course was flooded that morning, and some golfers couldn't finish the second round, which will be played tomorrow.
Marcel Siem with 150 strokes and Maximilian Kieffer with 154 strokes won't make the cut. Both players shared second place at last year's Winsen competition.
