In front of daycare children: Woman beats policewoman bloody
In front of a kindergarten group, a female driver beat a police officer bloody during a traffic stop in the Sauerland region. The 42-year-old woman lashed out in such a way that the two officers needed pepper spray and the help of another witness to restrain her, the police announced on Monday.
During a traffic safety check at a daycare center in Halver, the 42-year-old was stopped and confronted with a warning fine of 15 euros, they said. Regardless of the group of pre-school children who visited the police officers on duty, the traffic offender behaved aggressively and hit the officer first with her hand and then with a tablet against her head. The protective cover of the tablet was broken and the officer sustained a bleeding facial injury. Her colleague was also treated after the incident.
The woman is now being investigated for assaulting law enforcement officers and causing grievous bodily harm. It is also being investigated whether she is fit to drive a motor vehicle.
In this instance, the traffic stop at a kindergarten led to a violent escalation, with the woman aggressively attacking a police officer. Subsequently, concerns about her driving abilities due to her behavior have arisen, necessitating an investigation.
