Voting Processes - In Brandenburg, a simulated EU election was held for young people, and the AfD party took the lead.
In the recent Brandenburg U16 election, a total of 1330 valid votes were cast. The upcoming European election in Brandenburg is scheduled for this coming Sunday (9th June). If you're at least 16 years old, you can exercise your right to vote.
During the U16 European election in Germany, approximately 60,000 youths voted at 875 self-organized polling stations from May 27th to 31st. Across the nation, the SPD emerged as the leader with 19.7% of the votes, followed closely by the CDU/CSU with 19.4%. The Greens bagged 13.8% of the votes, while the AfD secured 13.6%. The Left received 6.8% and the Animal Welfare Party garnered 4.3%. The FDP managed to get 4.1% of the votes. The remaining 18.3% went to other political parties. The German Youth Council is the central organization responsible for overseeing this project throughout Germany, and it's financially supported by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.
