Current Climate Conditions - In Bavaria, rain leads to water levels reaching report level 4.
The recent floods have come close to surpassing the measurements of a hundred-year event. This has impacted the Nattenhausen/Guenz and Dasing/Paar monitoring stations. A 'century flood' is a term used to describe a flood that happens, on average, once every 100 years.
A more extensive flood has taken place on the upper Danube as well. The Neu Ulm/Bad Held gauge has gone past the warning level 3 and will hit the warning level 4 later in the day. Across Bavaria, heavy rainfall has resulted in swollen rivers and streams. The Eching/Windach gauge is currently at warning level 3. In the next few hours, other gauges on the Isar, Loisach, and Ammer may also surpass their warning levels. On the Glonn and the Sempt, warning level 3 might be attained. In the Ampere drainage area, it could happen as early as Sunday.
