- In an outdoor swimming pool, wild boars undergo a remarkable transformation, transitioning into water-dwelling rats.

Two energetic wild pigs, keenly splashing about with their limbs and spinning their tails like propellers, had a fun time at the Rhine beach bath in Rappenwört, Karlsruhe. A worker caught the animal encounter on camera in the wave pool early Sunday morning using his phone. "What's that? Two wild ones," the man is heard saying in the video. "Morning! Nice to meet ya!" The wild pigs subsequently departed on their own, confirmed a representative from the Karlsruhe baths.

According to the employee, the pigs swam into the bath via the Old Rhine. "It's common for animals to take a dip in our outdoor baths," explained Oliver Sternagel, manager of the baths, as per a statement. Ducks, geese, and various flying creatures occasionally use the pools as well. "Now, the wild pigs join the party too." Once people arrive at the bath, the animals tend to leave on their own.

It's not unsanitary, as technical equipment and filtration systems ensure that the water maintains hygienic standards at all times. "Additionally, the lifeguards constantly keep an eye on the water quality," it was mentioned.

Animals are not uncommon at the Rhine beach bath in Rappenwört: After the conclusion of the open-air bath season, an annual dog swimming event takes place, this year on September 15th.

The mixed species of animals visiting the bath include ducks, geese, and now, wild pigs. Following their encounter with the wild pigs, regular visitors at the bath find that the animals often leave once people arrive.
