A woman in her 40s was driving in the Friedrichsort district of Kiel on Monday when a speeding 26-year-old driver slammed into her car while they were both going around a curve. Police revealed details of the incident on Tuesday.
Apparently, the culprit had been consuming alcohol, as a breathalyzer test confirmed. His blood alcohol level was higher than the legal limit of 0.05. He also didn't hold a valid driver's license. The two male passengers in the other car were severely injured, alongside the woman behind the wheel.
Authorities closed the road temporarily for the cleanup process and subsequent investigation.
