The Free State of Germany is the largest microelectronics hub in Europe, boasting that every third chip manufactured in the EU comes from here. This is attributed to the "Silicon Saxony" network. This bustling region hosts over 3,650 companies such as Infineon and Globalfoundries. By 2030, it is anticipated that there will be a creation of 20,000 fresh job opportunities, with the Taiwanese semiconductor giant TSMC also planning to start its production in the state capital from 2027.
