Vehicle confiscated - Illegal car race: 18-year-old races through Bremerhaven

After an illegal car race in Bremerhaven, the police seized the vehicle of an 18-year-old and initiated criminal proceedings against him. His driver's license was also secured. The 18-year-old was on the road on Monday with three passengers, and was noticed by a civil patrol due to a reckless driving maneuver. He had reportedly overtaken another vehicle quickly and without signaling, and had driven his car directly in front of the overtaken vehicle, forcing its driver to heavily brake. The police followed the 18-year-old's vehicle.

Shortly thereafter, this person engaged in a race with another vehicle, according to the police. The officers had to accelerate their car to nearly 100 kilometers per hour to keep up. The police eventually stopped the driver on the A27 autobahn and led him to a parking lot. During the control, the 18-year-old reportedly admitted to driving very fast. He gave no reason for this. The second vehicle involved in the race escaped. The police have initiated investigations and are looking for the driver.
