Literature - Ildikó von Kürthy: "Habit is part of love"
Bestselling author Ildikó von Kürthy (55) has a simple recipe for love: "Stay together. A marriage doesn't always have to be lively, exciting and harmonious. These demands are dangerous. I think the biggest enemy of love is the illusions we have about it," Kürthy told the German Press Agency in Hamburg. Some people are stuck in childish ideas and false dreams and do not learn to arrive in reality and deal with it.
"If you want to stay together, it takes resignation, disillusionment, maturity, humility and the ability to accept other forms of love," said the author, who has been married for almost 25 years herself. "I think that's important and mature. Complaining about the loss of passion is annoying. "Habit becomes what love was" wrote Kurt Tucholsky and made us all afraid of long love. Yes, habit is part of love, at least if it is to last."
