The Ifo Institute celebrates its 75th anniversary on Thursday. The Munich economists will celebrate this milestone with Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP) and many other guests, and they dare to take a look 25 years into the future. The event aims to provide some answers to the question: "Social market economy 2049 – what will become of our prosperity, and who will benefit from it?"

Lindner will give the opening speech. Subsequently, a panel discussion will look beyond the next federal election: Which further developments of the social market economy are necessary, so that prosperity gains continue to reach all population groups? Ifo President Clemens Fuest intends to speak about this with prominent economic experts.
