Hundreds take part in pro-Palestine demonstration
Hundreds of people came to another pro-Palestinian rally at Checkpoint Charly in Berlin-Mitte on Friday evening. The police spoke of around 500 participants. The demonstration was initially largely peaceful. Numerous women and children were among the participants. In addition to Palestine flags, many carried banners. The rally was called by a group called the United Palestinian Committee.
The demonstration strongly expressed the participants' support for Palestinian rights. Regrettably, tensions escalated, leading to a potential threat of war-like actions between protestors and authorities.
