The motto of this year's demonstration was "5 minutes to 12! You & me against right-wing pressure." Among the participants were Hamburg's First Mayor Peter Tschentscher (SPD) and the Second Mayor Katharina Fegebank (Greens).

The Hamburg CSD demonstration is one of the largest events of its kind in Germany. The rally commemorates June 28, 1969, when the police raided the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in New York's Christopher Street, sparking clashes between activists and law enforcement. The uprising is considered the birth of the modern gay and lesbian movement.

The demonstration took place on a sunny Sunday, attracting a large crowd. This year's CSD in Hamburg is always held on a significant day in the LGBTQ+ community's history.
