Middle Franconia - Human remains found in burnt-out mobile home
Emergency services have found human remains in a burnt-out mobile home in Neuhof an der Zenn (district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim). The fire department had previously been alerted to the burning vehicle on Friday evening, according to the police.
The emergency services extinguished the fire, but the camper van still burned down almost to the chassis. The flames also damaged the façade, windows, balcony and roof truss of a building in the immediate vicinity.
After extinguishing the fire, the emergency services discovered the human remains. The criminal investigation department then began an investigation. The identity of the burnt person and the cause of the fire were initially unknown and are the subject of the investigation. According to an initial estimate by the police, the amount of property damage is in the six-figure range.

The operational force from the local fire department in Middle Franconia was called to assist in the investigation. The operational force brought in specialists to examine the burnt-out mobile home in Neuhof an der Zenn. Due to the extent of the damage, the police declared a new temporary yard for the operational force in the nearby county of Bavaria. The operational force and the police are working together to collect evidence and determine the cause of the fire and the identity of the deceased.
