Hamburger SV continues to strengthen its future squad, extending the deal with local talent Fabio Balde. This second-division football club has kept the 19-year-old left winger in its fold since 2020, and he's made his pro debut this season. Details about the contract length haven't been shared, but insiders hint at it lasting until 2029.

Stefan Kuntz, the sporting director, stated, "One of HSV's primary objectives is to foster homegrown talents and integrate them into the pro team. Fabio's progress in the past couple of months has been absolutely impressive, and he's solidified his spot in the first team with impressive displays in training and matches with our U21 squad."

Balde got his first start in the first XI in the recent 4-1 victory against Preußen Münster. "It's crucial for me to keep up the hard work and slowly repay the confidence shown in me. The fact that I can do this at my hometown club for the long term fills me with immense pride," said the attacking player.

The young players at Hamburger SV are embraced and nurtured, as evident in Fabio Balde's prolonged stay and rapid progression within the club. Under Stefan Kuntz's guidance, these young talents are given opportunities to integrate into the professional team.
