HSV defeats regional league team Ottensen 2:1 in training match
Hamburger SV beat regional league side Teutonia Ottensen in an impromptu training match. On Wednesday, coach Tim Walter's team narrowly won 2:1 against the Hamburg fourth division team. Immanuel Pherai scored for HSV in the game, which lasted two periods of 30 minutes and was played without changing sides or a referee. Jason Tomety-Hemazro was successful for Ottensen, while Marcus Coffie scored an own goal.
Walter used numerous talented players in the duel: Elijah Krahn (eleven competitive matches for the professionals), Tom Sanne, Omar Megeed (both two competitive matches), Otto Stange, Luis Seifert and Fabio Baldé (all of whom have not yet played a competitive match for the professionals) were given the opportunity to showcase their talents.
In their preparations, Hamburger SV also faced Bundesliga 2 team Hamburger SV II, formerly known as Ottensen, in a practice match. Prior to this, the squad had victoriously defeated another regional league team, Ottensen, with a score of 2:1 during a training session.
