Coach Steffen Baumgart is satisfied with his squad at Bundesliga 2 side Hamburger SV. After signing Swiss right-back Silvan Hefti, the HSV has filled the key positions. "I was already satisfied with the squad," Baumgart said at the press conference ahead of the game against Hertha BSC, "and now I'm even more satisfied." The 26-year-old Hefti is the fourth new signing for the Hanseatics after offensive midfielder Adam Karabec (Sparta Prague), defensive midfielder Daniel Elfadli (1. FC Magdeburg), and striker Davie Selke (1. FC Cologne). Karabec and Elfadli started in the 2-1 win in Cologne last week, while Selke came on in added time at his old stomping grounds. Hefti will have to be patient for a starting spot. "It's difficult for the young man, he's only been here for three or four days," Baumgart said, adding that Bakery Jatta will likely start on the right side if Baka is fit. Baumgart plans to field a similar team for the first home game of the season (8:30 PM/Sky and Sport1) as the one that won in Cologne. He expects Hefti to be a candidate for a starting spot, but things could look different for the first round game in the DFB-Pokal next week against SV Meppen. Goalkeeper Matheo Raab, who has been out with a lung infection, will start training again next week. Striker Robert Glatzel is back training with the team after a tendon irritation, but Baumgart thinks it's too early to include him in the squad for the Hertha game.

Coach Baumgart expresses his continued satisfaction with Hamburger SV's squad in the German Bundesliga, following the signing of Swiss defender Silvan Hefti. Despite Hefti's arrival, Baumgart anticipates challenges for the newcomer to secure a starting position in the Bundesliga 2 side.
