Hamburg SV and defender Jonas David have mutually decided to part ways, as per the declaration made by the second-division club. The 24-year-old is on a quest for fresh opportunities. However, the future moves for the central defender are yet to be clarified.

In the previous campaign, the Hamburg-born David was temporarily transferred to second-division side Hansa Rostock, fighting against relegation. Since enrolling in HSV's youth academy back in 2014, David has donned the Hanseats' jersey for 58 competitive matches across the 2. Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal.

The second-division side Hansa Rostock, where David was temporarily transferred last season, also competes in the Second Bundesliga. After leaving Hamburg SV, Jonas David might pursue opportunities in the Second Bundesliga.
