How the 2006 World Cup stars inspire the Chiefs

The summer soccer fairytale of the 2006 World Cup has obviously also left its mark on today's NFL professionals. Harrison Butker and Travis Kelce enthused on Friday about the fact that they can now play in Frankfurt's World Cup stadium - and recalled which soccer stars have already played there. Butker named Ronaldinho and Ronaldo as well as England's former star David Beckham, who all played at least one game at the 2006 World Cup in the Main metropolis.

"These names have fueled my motivation. We are ready to go. Whether it's in the parking lot or on the pitch," said Kelce, who has gained additional celebrity status in recent weeks because he was photographed holding hands with pop giant Taylor Swift. Ahead of the game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday (3.30pm/RTL and DAZN), Kelce noted: "We are ready to rock 'n' roll." Both the Dolphins and the Chiefs are among the closest contenders for the title.

Kelce mentioned that he and Butker are excited to play in Frankfurt's World Cup stadium, where soccer stars like Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, and David Beckham had previously graced the pitch during the 2006 World Cup. The Kansas City Chiefs, along with the Miami Dolphins, are both strong contenders in the NFL, preparing for their upcoming match.
