Following an arson attack on the house of a local SPD politician in Gotha district, the prosecutor's office has put out a 5,000 euro bounty for any information that might lead to the arrest of the culprit. This was announced by the cops on Friday.

The incident took place on February 19 when some anonymous individuals torched the wooden abode of SPD member Michael Müller in Schnepfenthal, near Waltershausen. Müller stated that he rents this house when he's away. Though he wasn't present during the attack, a family with an infant was residing there. Thankfully, they escaped unharmed, but the house's facade and their car were damaged.

In the course of the investigation, the police found out that two mysterious figures, clad in dark clothes, were seen loitering near the vicinity during the blaze. The offenders had at least passively accepted the death of four people.
