Altenkirchen - House in Kirchen severely damaged in explosion
A house in Kirchen (Altenkirchen district) was severely damaged by an explosion on Tuesday evening. All residents were able to leave the house unharmed or were not at home at the time of the accident, according to the police. The cause of the detonation could have been a technical defect, they said. A criminal act is currently being ruled out.
The THW secured the building. Specialists are to examine the damage on Tuesday at the latest. The damage is estimated to be in the low six-figure range. The public order office moved the residents elsewhere.
