A house in Backnang (Rems-Murr district) is currently uninhabitable following a fire. The 18 residents were temporarily accommodated in other buildings by the city, as reported by the police. Two people sustained minor injuries in the fire. All occupants were able to evacuate the building, which houses apartments and commercial spaces, independently. The fire originated in an attic apartment of the four-story building. The cause of the fire remains unknown. No estimate of the damage has been provided yet.

The intense flames from the fire rendered the attic apartment unsuitable. Due to the fire, the local fire department was called to put out the blaze.
