The German Weather Service (DWD) forecasts temperatures up to 36°C in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland over the next few days. It will remain mostly dry on Monday, with isolated showers and thunderstorms possible in the evening. The night into Tuesday will also be warm, with temperatures around 20°C.
Severe Weather Threat
On Tuesday, showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop during the day. Locally, severe weather with heavy rain, hail, and gusty winds is possible. It will be muggy and hot, with highs between 32°C and 36°C, and around 30°C on the mountains. Showers and thunderstorms are possible again during the night into Wednesday, with lows between 20°C and 17°C.
Wednesday will be similar: The DWD expects some clouds, numerous showers, and occasionally strong thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail. It will remain muggy and hot, with highs between 27°C and 31°C, and around 25°C on the mountains.
