City Trier connects to the Saarburg railway route. - Horse breaches wooden footbridge
In the Trier-Saarburg district, there was a surprising incident involving a horse falling onto a small wooden bridge. This happened around Grimburg and Reinsfeld on a Thursday morning. The rider had planned to walk across the Wadrill stream with their horse. The horse set foot on the pedestrian bridge, and to their misfortune, its hind legs broke. Although the horse had some minor injuries, it was left unable to stand. Urgent help was called for, and the local fire departments from Hermeskeil, Gusenburg, and Grimburg came to rescue the animal. Luckily, the horse's owner remained unscathed during this unfortunate event.

To prevent such incidents on the Pedestrian bridge near Trier-Saarburg, local authorities are also considering creating designated paths for animals and their riders along the Trier-Saarburg railway route, especially around areas like Grimburg and Reinsfeld.
