Stabbing incident - Honoring a fallen police officer: flag lowered, moment of remembrance observed
This Friday at 11:34 AM, there will be a moment of silence - one week after the knife attack by a 25-year-old assailant, who struck in the city center during a gathering by the anti-Islam group Pax Europa (BPE) on the market square. This attack left six men injured, including a police officer.
Tragically, the 29-year-old victim succumbed to his wounds on Sunday. During the assault, the attacker continuously stabbed the police officer in the head. Motivations behind the crime remain unexplained. The event in Mannheim is scheduled for the evening, with Strobl's participation as well.
Baden-Württemberg's Ministry of the Interior communicated this information.
