The police have arrested a 29-year-old man in Furth im Wald (Cham district) who was wanted with an international arrest warrant. The Syrian was sought by Turkish authorities for a homicide offense, a police spokesperson said. He declined to provide further details.

Officers arrested the man on Tuesday based on a tip from the Federal Criminal Police Office. The 29-year-old was registered as a resident there. In coordination with the General Prosecutor's Office in Nuremberg, the man was brought before an investigating judge at the Regensburg District Court on the same day. The 29-year-old was taken to a prison and is awaiting extradition to Turkey.

The arrest warrant issued by Turkish authorities led to the man's apprehension. After appearing before the Regensburg District Court, he is now being held in a prison, awaiting extradition with the arrest warrant serving as the basis for his detention.
