- Home Office: High traffic on weekends

Traffic Alert: Many travelers and day-trippers are expected to be on the road this weekend, leading to potential congestion due to roadworks, according to the Interior Ministry. Several highways are at risk of traffic jams, including the A5 from Frankfurt to Basel, the A6 from Mannheim to Nuremberg, and the A7 from Würzburg to Füssen. The A8, A81, and B31 are also affected.

The good weather forecast could also encourage many people to go on outings: The German Weather Service (DWD) predicts a sunny and warm weekend, with temperatures potentially reaching up to 34°C on Sunday.

The Interior Ministry has advised drivers to avoid these congested highways if possible, as The Commission for traffic management is preparing alternative routes to minimize delays. To ensure safe travel during this busy period, it's recommended to adhere to The Commission's traffic advisories and allow extra travel time.
