The Austrian attacking player will remain with the Bundesliga promoted team for longer. Pichler scored eight goals last season.

Bundesliga promoter Holstein Kiel has prematurely extended the contract of striker Benedikt Pichler. The length of the originally signed contract until June 2025 was not specified by the club on Wednesday. The Austrian joined Kiel from Austria Wien in Schleswig-Holstein in 2021. In the previous season, he made 22 appearances in the 2. Liga for Kiel, scoring eight goals. Due to issues with his abdominal muscles, the football professional had to miss several games between December 2022 and March.
