- Hoffenheim is bringing in Gendrey.

"Hoffenheim 1899 has secured the services of French right-back Valentin Gendrey from Italy. The 24-year-old was committed to Serie A side US Lecce until 2026. German Bundesliga club Hoffenheim, based in North Baden, opted to keep the transfer fee under wraps."

As per Hoffenheim's temporary coach Frank Kramer, "Valentin is a dependable defender who has honed his skills in the tough, Italian football culture and amassed a significant amount of experience in the Serie A." The French U21 international previously held a regular spot in Lewce's starting lineup.

Hoffenheim 1899 is looking to strengthen their defense in the upcoming football league season, given Gendrey's impressive performance in Serie A. This new addition to the team could potentially help Hoffenheim climb up the ranks in the Germans' Bundesliga.
