A deceased mountaineer was discovered in the Allgäu Alps near Bad Hindelang (district of Oberallgäu). After a group of hikers found the body, it was recovered the following day on Tuesday, as police reported. The Alpine Rescue Group and a police helicopter were involved in the operation.

The victim is believed to be a 56-year-old man who had been hiking alone from hut to hut for several days. He is said to have fallen in the ridge area of the Vorderen Wilden - in an area with a 40-degree incline. The police could not specify how long the man had been there.

Upon discovering the deceased mountaineer, the hiking group immediately contacted the local authorities due to the severe conditions and potential need for an emergency response. With the mountain terrain proving challenging, an emergency operation was initiated, involving the Alpine Rescue Group and a police helicopter to safely recover the man's body.
