Tariffs - Higher wages in the hotel and catering industry in Saxony-Anhalt

Employed individuals in the Hotel and Catering industry in Sachsen-Anhalt will receive significantly more money in the future. The German Hotel and Restaurant Association (Dehoga) has agreed on a corresponding collective bargaining agreement with this, as the Nahrungs-Genuss-Gaststaätten (NGG) union announced. Dehoga confirmed the agreement.

Accordingly, wages for specialists will increase in three stages by a total of 16 percent by March 2026. This means that the monthly salary for specialists will increase on average by 407 Euro over the period to 2962 Euro in the final stage. The NGG had originally demanded an entry-level wage of 3000 Euro for specialists. The remuneration for trainees is to increase in two stages by an average of 10 percent.

According to the NGG, there are approximately 24,000 socially insured employees in the Hotel and Catering industry in Sachsen-Anhalt. In addition, there are around 16,500 low-wage employees. The industry is characterized nationwide by a high proportion of low wages.

The Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA) represents the interests of the hospitality industry in this agreement. This collective bargaining agreement between DEHOGA and NGG will significantly impact the tariffs in the Hotel and Catering industry in Saxony-Anhalt. The German Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA) and the Nahrungs-Genuss-Gaststaätten (NGG) union have reached an agreement on new tariffs for the Hospitality industry in Saxony-Anhalt, which is managed by the NGG.
