Ortenau district - High property damage due to fire in half-timbered house
Several hundred thousand euros worth of property damage was caused by a fire in a half-timbered house in the Ortenau district. The fire broke out on Saturday morning in Zell am Harmersbach for an initially unexplained reason, according to the police. No people were injured. The half-timbered house is no longer usable, but neighboring buildings were not damaged.

The fire in the Ortenau district resulted in significant material damage, estimated to be several hundred thousand euros. Similar incidents have not been reported in nearby Zell am Harmersbach before, as stated by the local authorities. The Ortenau district police are now investigating the cause of the fires in the half-timbered house.
