- Hessen is expecting hot days full of storms
In the last few days, residents of Hesse have been enjoying plenty of sunshine, but while temperatures remain warm, the weather is set to change significantly. The German Weather Service (DWD) has warned of severe storms, heavy rain, and hail in some regions, with high temperatures reaching 29 to 34 degrees Celsius. Although it will cool down somewhat overnight, rain is still expected in some areas.
On Thursday, meteorologists predict cloudy skies and showers, with some areas experiencing heavy thunderstorms, hail, and gusty winds. High temperatures will range from 26 to 30 degrees, maintaining a summery warmth. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue overnight into Friday, with a slight cooling.
The DWD forecasts only a slight improvement in the weather over the weekend. High temperatures of 23 to 27 degrees Celsius indicate a slight cooling compared to previous days, but not a significant one. While showers and thunderstorms are still expected, some regions will also experience longer periods of fair weather.
On Thursday, the heavy rain and hail mentioned by the DWD could make driving challenging for some residents. Despite the rain, the temperatures will still be relatively high, reaching between 26 to 30 degrees.
