Following the European election on the weekend, among the first to submit the complete results to the federal commissioner, Ruth Brand, was Hessen, as stated by the state elections office in Wiesbaden on Monday. State election commissioner Wilhelm Kanther and Hessian Interior Minister Roman Poseck (CDU) acknowledged and thanked the roughly 55,000 volunteer workers for a smooth and flawless election process. They successfully managed to determine the election results speedily and precisely in their spare time. The CDU won in Hessen during the European election once again with a significant advantage. On Monday, the different parties in the state were examining the figures.
